Bridge To Business is an education, networking, and career development program that gives students aspiring to careers in business the opportunity to learn from and connect with successful graduates of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
The program is offered at no cost, as it is designed to provide a bridge to success for any business hopeful, regardless of their background.
Created by two high school students in partnership with the Wharton Alumni Club, Bridge To Business enlists Wharton alumni to serve as teachers and advisors, educating students on their area of expertise and offering them career guidance.
Students in Bridge To Business participate in a series of webinars and Q&A sessions with professionals from a range of business disciplines, including corporate finance, wealth management, private equity, real estate investment, sports management, and branding and marketing. Students also take workshops in online profile building, resume writing, and internship searches.
Bridge To Business's high school program, now in its second year of classes, serves roughly 40 students a year. About half are admitted in collaboration with our four partner community programs -- Heights Philadelphia, Urban Upbound, the South Bronx Community Charter School, and the Johnny Mac Tennis Project -- which work to create educational and career opportunities for underserved youth.
The Wharton School is currently expanding Bridge To Business to create a college-level program for Wharton undergraduates.
